~Winter Fun~

I am super behind on my posts...as usual! , I just realized my last post was from last year!
So what has been going on in the Taylor-Regueiro’s world? Chris went into his second semester in Grad-School, he’s LOVING school, even though It’s keeping him incredibly busy!
We are finally loving this place! I mean it’s still the smallest little town, BUT we have many very good friends! And we just love how tranquil this place is, and we both absolutely LOVE tranquility. Also we have been able to have a couple of very relaxing and fun vacations!

Every Monday we’re hosting FHE for Alfred University Mormon Students at our house, So Monday nights had really become a party for Clara who loves having people over and showing her guests all her books and of course she brings her own scriptures!

On Valentine’s day! (You can tell I’m really behind on my posts!) Chris and I dressed up and went to a very fancy restaurant, It was a great date! And we laughed a lot! I don’t even remember the last time we laugh that much! I can just say that I am one lucky girl!

Clara is growing and growing! She’s turning 2 and a half today! Man! Where did the time go? This little girl doesn’t stop surprising me! I love her personality and I love how much she looks like me…. 0n the inside of course! It’s like a little me, but with blond hair and blue eyes! She’s very nice with people especially with babies, she loves reading and loves numbers, she’ll be a math freak just like me! She LOVES organizing and cleaning! And she’s a great helper! She loves dancing, some days I just feel like singing aloud, no reason why, and she starts applauding and cheering for her mommy and dancing all around! So cute! She loves the cats and always takes care of them! She’s very reverent in church, especially during sacrament; she just folds her arms the whole time and keeps herself quiet until the sacrament is over! She absolutely l-o-v-e-s praying! And explaining to people why things are the way they are! Another interesting characteristic about her personality is that she doesn’t like cartoons! She loves real people movies! Among her favorites are: “Little women”, “Pride and Prejudice”, “A little Princess” and lately she’s been in love with “bride and prejudice” which is a beautiful Indian musical version of pride and prejudice! I love that movie and Clara loves it too! Ok so I’ve been saying all the good things but… there are also bad things she does that we are trying to work on, first: she’s a climber! She climbs everything, I caught her a couple times a day over the table and over the computer desk and over the bathroom sink, and it’s NOT fun! And second: When she gets frustrated for something she screams so laud to show her angry! And that’s also not really fun! Plus she’s starting to like the idea of “time out” so she just goes to the “time out” corner, sits and starts singing and saying “Mom and Dad I love you” like thinking that that is going to help her get out of trouble!

We’ve been working with Chris on our genealogies lately; we’re amazed at how varied Clara’s heritage is, with ancestors coming from so many countries! Form Chris’ side he has: English, German, Scottish and Irish among others, and from my side: Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese as far as I know. Clara is already talking and understanding two languages! We are very happy and proud of that!

On another note I have found a new hobby! Cooking! I mean I always cook the normal basics, but lately I’ve been having fun trying out new recipes and using new and healthy ingredients! Cooking is like art! And I’m fascinated with decorating my plates and creating new looks! I also had the idea of creating a new blog with all the recipes I’ve found and reformatted but I’m not a good blogger and I don’t really have the time and patience to sit in front of the computer to start a whole new blog. If only this love for cooking would help me to put a couple pounds on my skinny little body!...

So for this coming week’s menu, one of the recipes I’m excited to try is the one I planned for Wednesday which is “Asparagus & sun dried tomato Risotto” and for Friday it’s turn of the “Vegetarian Lasagna” but I think I’m going to have to make some changes to that one, so we’ll see how this lasagna turns out after my “touch”!
