Our Princesa is 1!

Ok there's a need for an update here!
Our Princesa Clara Turned 1! She is SO cute! I just can't believe she's already 1 year old. She's talking, walking, dancing!!! and being silly all the time!
We had a small party in her honor at grandparents Boyd and Amy's house. I feel very greatfull Amy was there. She had a good time seeing Clara opening her presents and being around family! Clara loves grandma Amy so much. She gets very happy when she sees her!
We enjoyed preparing her little party! aunt Paula brought the decoration, aunt Cheri made cute paper ladybugs and I loved how the cake looked! First I had no idea how to decorate it! but I LOVE flowers, and I definitely wanted flowers on the cake. My mom made tons of wedding and B-day cakes her whole life, so i was inspired by her I guess! and I'm happy with the result!

I made Clara a Book for her Birthday, she loved it! it's a beautiful Story about a girl named Clara! check it out!

Summer is leaving us, and I don't think I'm ready for Winter! I Love summer! and I love vegetation! and I love our garden! The best thing about having a garden is eating from it! I remember we used to have a huge vegetable garden at home when I was a child and I still remember the taste of all those delicious food my mom made. Of course our is not that big! but we got to make several recipes without having to buy most of the ingredients.
From our last harvest we got 4 squashes, I was so excited to make my favorite recipe: 'Squash Lasagna'!. A couple days ago I found a great recipe from internet: 'Herb Stuffed Tomatoes' the best thing about this one is that I found all the ingredients in my garden! plus you can make your own bread crumbs.
On July 13th Chris and I got a weekend getaway and drove up to Chicago. I had to renew my passport since that's where the closest Uruguayan embassy is. Chris and I also visited the art institute of Chicago. We meet with a very nice instructor who gave us a tour around the school. The school was one of the best, We just didn't like the city that much. It's just too crowded for our taste. But we'll see...
